That's what I heard him say as I was walking past a table at Chick fil a the other day. Wow, what a doozy, "Screw the end times", really? With all the talk of economic doom and gloom it seems to be the talk of most Christian circles. I had a few of the "end times conversations" myself and I've read even more. The more I think about it the more I echo that man's sentiment from chick fil a. Listen, it's not that I don't think the end times are close or won't happen soon. Honestly there are days I wish Jesus would come back now, it sure would make things easier. Now hear me, I'm not trying to ignore what is happening in our world or the signs that the Bible refers to but instead I am choosing to put my attention where it belongs...on Him. We, me included, can keep a conversation going about the end times or we can turn our eyes to God. I choose the latter. THe Bible does say that in the last days even the elite will be deceived. So maybe our attention should be on knowing Him more so we will know Him when he shows up. Just a thought.
